Questions Squirtacular teams ask
Before you start
- How many pins does a Squirt team need for Squirtacular?
- Most teams trade 20 to 30+ pins a player at a tournament, and coaches trade as much as the kids do. Our estimate uses 30 a player, which leaves room for spares. Tell the calculator your roster and it does the arithmetic and shows its working. A Squirt roster of 15 at 30 a player comes to 450 pins.
- What size should we get?
- We make every size from 1" to 6". Medium (2"): Room for a real mascot and your team name. Large (2.5"): A serious pin. Carries a shaped silhouette or a spinner comfortably. Extra large (3"): A centerpiece pin - big enough that other teams come looking for it. The planner above prices the size you pick.
- Which upgrades trade best?
- Spinner: A section that spins. Kids will stand there spinning it, which is exactly why it trades. Dangler: A second small pin hanging beneath the main one. Two pins of presence for one trade. Glitter: Glitter mixed into the enamel. Costs almost nothing and catches rink lighting from across the room. It goes on Classic and Essential (enamel) pins, not on a Signature HD pin. Glow in the dark: Glows once the lights drop. Costs very little. An enamel effect, so it goes on enamel pins. Add any of them in the planner and the estimate follows.
- When should we order for Squirtacular?
- Squirtacular pins should be ordered by November 15, 2026. Order early, pay less. Every tournament has an order-by date, and ordering by it gets you our standard price. After it there is often still a way: fewer than five weeks before your tournament the pins have to ship by express, which costs more, and the price we quote includes it. Fewer than four weeks before it, we cannot make custom pins in time, so we stop taking orders for that tournament.
- Where do the pins get delivered?
- To you, not to the rink. Give us the address you want them at and we will get them there ahead of your tournament weekend. For teams near the Twin Cities we can often hand deliver them ourselves.
- What happens after I start our pin?
- We reply by email within 3 business days — usually sooner. Send artwork or an AI concept with the form and your quote comes back faster. A real person reads it, not a call center and not a bot. You will also get an email right away with a link to your own page, where you can add artwork, see your proof and follow your order - without filling anything in twice.
“I have had the pleasure of working with Bob on pins for multiple sports teams. He is incredibly easy to work with. First off, he is extremely knowledgeable about pin trading tournaments and how they work. Bob also always has a handle on the timeline required for designing and ordering pins. Most importantly, Bob is so talented at helping with the design and construction of pins; the kids LOVED being able to participate in the process, and once I sent those designs to Bob, he was able to take their ideas and bring them to life. Finally, Bob offered practical advice about sizing and pricing, which again speaks to how much experience he has in doing this.”
